Excellent fishing is available at the John Day River. It runs for about six miles, and a boat launch is available. The river is known for for steelhead and bass fishing.
Rolling Hills Hunting Preserve offers guided and non-guided hunting for pheasants and chukar. The have two hunting preserves in the Blue Mountains. Trap shooting is also available.
